Grant-Kohrs Ranch National Historic Site
This
ranch was started by Canadian fur trader
John Grant, and expanded by cattle baron
Conrad Kohrs. The ranch is maintained today
as a working ranch.. The Grant-Kohrs Ranch
National Historic Site displays the Western
cattle industry from its 1850s start through
recent times. This ranch was once the center
of a 10-million-acre cattle empire. Today,
National Park Service rangers tell the story
of trail driving days, while cattle and
horses bring this historic ranch to life!
Grant-Kohrs Ranch is the only National Park
dedicated to the cowboy and cattleman. The
park was enacted in 1972, and includes 1,500
acres and 90 structures. Click here to
